CONEY ISLAND

A circular loop from Ardglass with coastal cottages and beaches

Leaving from the Green Road follow signs for the Lecale Way. On the A2 take the lane into Coney Island. Head out west and follow the coast.

Coney Island is actually a peninsula and was used by the Normans to rear rabbits. The area appeared in the Oscar winning film The Shore. Highlights along the route include: butterflies, wildflowers, and Isabella's Tower.

This route is approximately 2.5 miles.  At high tide this walk may not be possible. There are rocky sections around the island.
